It was the lasting memory of a beach side cocktail bar that prompted Head Distiller, Pete Margree to begin experimenting with some exotic flavour profiles.
Pete is often to be found tinkering with new flavour combinations, experimenting with intriguing botanicals or researching new ingredients, but it was happy memories of holiday cocktails that proved the inspiration behind our latest gin.
Months of research and numerous trial distillations ensued. Admittedly, staff tasting sessions are one of everyone’s favourite jobs and eventually settling on our final recipe, we were sure we had the perfect balance of flavours. Our customary slow and patient distillation process ensures the vibrant and luscious flavours of mandarin and passion fruit really sing, followed with the velvety smooth finish St. Giles is renowned for.
Label designs were finalised, distillation run completed and Batch No.1 was bottled and ready to go!
We hope you enjoy our latest offering as much as we do. Utterly delicious with plenty of ice, a splash of Indian tonic and a slice of nectarine, Mandarin and Passion Fruit is also extremely versatile – top up a shot with Prosecco for an exotic gin fizz or use in place of the traditional vodka to create an exceptional passion fruit martini.
